The theoretical and sociological foundations of Jacques Rancière, under concepts such as: political aesthetics, domination and the ignorant teacher, provide a suitable platform for turning to interdisciplinary approaches between art and sociology. Rancière basically seeks to discover the starting point of politics and empolitics in the interpretation of his opinions; This is why the analysis of the sociological components of theater and performance based on Ransiri's model has formed the main problem of this research, and the result is the analysis of the dominance ratio in theater, and the emphasis on performance as an interactive and abstract art. It is from dominion. During the general process of this research, it is based on the assumption that the presence of the audience, due to the passivity imposed on them during the process of staging the theater, which is based on the dramatic, is a guarantee of the dominance of the theater and the continuation of the status quo. On the other hand, in the performance, with the help of the performative element, the existence of the audience and the act of being an audience are basically destroyed. The current research, with a descriptive-analytical method in a library format, seeks to answer this main question: How does performance rise against the status quo? In addition, this research aims to investigate the difference between theatricality and performativity as opposite atmospheres. Therefore, first a brief reference is made to the concept of domination, and then, by explaining the theories of Jacques Rancière, the sociological comparison of theater and performance is discussed. And in the end, by analyzing and examining the data, it was concluded that the performance, not as an art, but as a political-aesthetic-cognitive mechanism, is a rebellion against "maintaining the status quo".
